Mötley Crüe’s frontman, Vince Neil, released his first solo album in 1993 after leaving the band the previous year. The album Exposed was led by the hit single “You’re Invited (But Your Friend Can’t Come).” Exposed also released three other singles from the project, but the songs did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The album didn’t fair well with most music critics, but the project eventually reached Number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. Neil’s second studio album, Carved in Stonewas put out two years later. The album did not perform well on the Billboard charts, and none of the released singles were able to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1997, Neil reunited with Mötley Crüe, and the band released Generation Swine that year. Although he was still the lead singer of Mötley Crüe, Neil released his third solo album. Tattoos & Tequila was released in 2010, and it was mainly an album with rock covers from the 1970s. The album was recorded with Slaughter band members Jeff Blando, Dana Strum, and Zoltan Chaney. His Mötley Crüe bandmate, Nikki Sixx, wrote one song on the album entitled “Another Bad Day.”

Besides being a rock star, Vince Neil is also the franchise owner of an Arena Football League team. In 2014, the AFL announced Neil as the franchise owner of the Las Vegas Outlaws. He is the minority owner of the AFL’s Jacksonville Sharks as well. Neil is not the only musician to own an Arena Football League team, musicians Tim McGraw, Jon Bon Jovi, and Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS also own football franchises.
