Meek Mill Tops Billboard 200 For The First Time

Meek Mill has the Number 1 project on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Dreams Worth More Than Money sold over 240,000 copies in its debut week, which was enough to claim the Number 1 spot. This is the fourth largest album sales entry of 2015, following If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (Drake), To Pimp a Butterfly (Kendrick Lamar), andWilder Mind (Mumford & Sons). Dreams Worth More Than Money is Mill’s second studio album. The project features the singles “Check,” “All Eyes on You,” and “R.I.C.O.” Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Drake, The Weeknd, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz, Future, and P. Diddy are all showcased on the chart-topping album. The Deluxe Edition has guest appearances by August Alsina and Jeremih.

The rapper’s studio debut Dreams and Nightmares was released in 2012. It went to Number 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The project sold over 160,000 copies in its first week of sales, and it reached Number 2 on the Billboard 200. After three years, Dreams and Nightmares is close to reaching Gold certification. “Amen” (featuring Drake), “Burn” (featuring Big Sean), “Young & Gettin’ It” (featuring Kirko Bangz), and “Believe It” (featuring Rick Ross), were all dropped as singles from the album. “Amen,” which was produced by Jahlil Beats, reached Number 4 on the Rap Songs chart. The hit single also peaked at Number 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and Number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100.
