Matt Bellamy Says Muse Will Perform at Bestival

Muse is reportedly going to perform at this year’s Bestival music event. According to reports, the band’s frontman Matt Bellamy accidentally let the “cat out of the bag” about the band’s festival appearance.Bestival will take place in the United Kingdom from September 10th through the 13th. Duran Duran, the Chemical Brothers, and Underworld have all been announced as headliners this year. Some of the other artists listed on the lineup include Skrillex, Mark Ronson, FKA Twigs, Flava D, London Elektricity, and Lily Allen.

For the first time in twelve years, Bestival will also be held outside of the UK. This summer, Bestival will take place in Toronto (Canada) on June 12th and 13th. The headliners for Bestival Toronto will include Florence + the Machine and Nas. The festival also announced Flume, Cashmere Cat, Robin Schulz, Jamie xx, and Omar Souleyman will also perform at the festival in North America. Besides Bestival, Muse will also travel to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival this summer. Muse, Foo Fighters, Ryan Adams, Motörhead, and Todd Rundgren, have all been named as headliners for the festival, which will run from June 24th through June 26th. Macy Gray, Johnny Mar,  and FKA Twigs are some of the artists on this year’s artist lineup.

Muse just wrapped their Psycho UK Tour in March. This month, the band will travel to New York (NY) on the 9th for a show at the iHeartRadio Theater. Muse’s other upcoming dates include a show in Irvine (CA) on May 16th, Munich (Germany) on May 29th, Vienna (Austria) on June 5th, Biel (Switzerland) on June 6th, Landgraaf (Netherlands) on June 12th, Derby (UK) on June 13th, Warsaw (Poland) on June 14th, Moscow (Russia) on June 19th, St. Petersburg (Russia) on June 21st, Seinajoki (Finland) on June 24th, Norrkoping (Sweden) on June 26th, Rotselaar (Belgium) on June 28th, Roskilde (Denmark) on July 2nd, Arras (France) on July 4th, and Roeser (Luxembourg) on July 5th.

Muse will release their Drones album on June 8th. The first single from the upcoming project is entitled “Deep Inside.” The lead single reached Number 3 on the US Alternative Songs chart, and it peaked at Number 13 on the US Hot Rock Songs chart. “Deep Inside” also topped the UK Rock and Metal songs chart. The 12-track project will also features the songs “Psycho,” “The Handler,” “Mercy,” and “Revolt.”
