Marvel Reveals Teams in Captain America Civil War

Captain America: Civil War, one of the most anticipated superhero films of 2016, has finally revealed which hero is on which side for Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most dividing war yet. Earlier this year, it has been established that the film, set to release on the sixth of May next year, will be pitting the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist against the first avenger. Now, for the million dollar question: who is Team Captain America and who is Team Iron Man?

According to recent sources, the division will be as follows. Captain America will be teaming up with Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Bucky, and Ant-Man. Meanwhile, Tony Stark will find himself allied with Black Widow, Vision, Rhodey, and Spiderman.

For those who have seen the latest Ant-Man movie, seeing three particular members in Captain America’s team is no surprise. Falcon, Bucky and Ant-Man have all been hinted to join Captain Rogers in the bonus clip at the end credits of said movie. As for the other two members, their reasons for picking the side they’re on are yet to be uncovered.

Vision choosing to side with Stark makes as much sense as James Rhodes staying with the Iron Man. They are Stark’s creation and best friend, respectively. Just as well, Spiderman’s been known to have a certain bond with Iron Man in the comics. This leaves Black Widow in question. There’s been talk that a double agent will be in play. Perhaps…?

As for the anticipated Black Panther, Kevin Feige has confirmed that this superhero will be a neutral party amidst all the chaos. While everyone will be busy killing each other, the Black Panther will be focusing on his own mission. What’s this special mission? No one knows yet.

Obviously, there’s a glaring absence in the line-up listed above. Some of you may wonder where Thor and the Hulk will be in this mighty time of need. It has been reported that Thor won’t be joining his Avenger friends in this endeavor. The Norse god will be busy single-handedly dealing with an entirely different problem that we will learn more of in Thor: Ragnarok. Hulk, on the other hand, has been off the grid. No final word has been released yet pertaining our beloved, green-skinned, raging beast. Rumors are, though, that Bruce Banner might make a cameo in the latest Captain America installment.
