Madonna Delivers 3 Unapologetic Surprises

The queen of pop doesn’t seem to take a break. Madonna has been releasing “updates” for her coming “Unapologetic B*tch” album, in the form of secretive moves and a few blunt jabs. Here are three that happened within the last few days:

1. There might be a link between the superstar and Apple. The title of her upcoming album, Unapologetic B*tch, has made it’s way around the internet, and fans are searching the title to glean more info (as fans do). Here’s what’s odd: when you ask Siri to look up “Unapologetic B*tch,” she takes you straight to Madonna’s Wikipedia page, which has NOT been altered to include the album title. Furthermore, “b*tch” doesn’t even appear on that page at all.  A generic search engine (those voice-activated and not) will bring you to a search results page, like Google, and from there you can scroll. How did Siri know to remove that extra step?

It wouldn’t be the first time a pop star has collaborated with Apple, if that’s what this indicates. Beyonce made her self-titled album available exclusively on Itunes for a week before anyone else was allowed to get ahold of it (at the time, those who used Spotify because desperate). Whatever this is, it remains unclear for now.

2. Speaking of Unapologetic B*tch, lyrics from the song by the same name have been circulating online. Some cruel jibes are reportedly targeted at her ex Brahim Zaibat, including a biting line: “When we did it, I’ll admit it, wasn’t satisfied.” The couple split in 2013 after a 3-year relationship. Zaibat is 26. There’s another track on the album (“Heartbreak City“) that mourns/rants against her other ex, Guy Ritchie.

3. Madonna has not so directly called Lady Gaga a copycat until now. Another song leaked online, “Two Steps Behind Me,” compares Gaga to exactly that. “You’re a copycat, Where is my royalty? You’re a pretty girl, I’ll give you that. But stealing my recipe, it’s an ugly look. Did you study me hard enough? You’re never gonna be, you’re just a wannabe me… You’ll always be two steps behind me.”

Reactions from Apple, Zaibat, and Ritchie have not surfaced. A source working with Gaga did state “(She’s) going to be mortified,” but we’ve yet to see more than that.
