Madonna Talks Upcoming ‘Rebel Heart’ Projects

Today, pop icon Madonna released her hugely anticipated, heavily leaked Rebel Heart album. The musician has been teasing the release all through 2014, and then she suffered a huge disappointment when a collection of demos was leaked to the public.  After a difficult start that left her feeling “an overwhelming sense of anxiety,” Madonna is getting ready to kick off the era in earnest by sharing some information regarding what fans should expect for the rest of the Rebel Heart era. The rocker revealed some important facts about upcoming singles and her opinion about the current state of pop music.

Madonna revealed that her children’s favorite song on the album is the frenzied Nicki Minaj collaboration “Bitch I’m Madonna,” and the iconic pop star is planning on releasing it as a single in the future. Fans shouldn’t expect Madonna to recreate the mythology-laden imagery that she displayed in the video for Rebel Heart lead single “Living For Love” video. Although she loved the aesthetic, she claims that she is going to explore something different for “Bitch I’m Madonna” and future releases. Although her children’s favorite track will get the single treatment at some point during the release schedule, there has been much speculation that “Ghost Town” will be the album’s second official single.

The musician went on to reveal that she loves the accessibility of pop music. When asked if there was anything that she despised about pop music the star responded by claiming that despise was a “strong word” before revealing that she thought releases had become “sort of homogenized.”

2015 is going to be a busy year for Madonna. She kicked off the year with a performance at the Grammy Awards before heading over to the UK for a promotional run. The star will be appearing for a week on the Ellen Degeneres Show, and she is setting up to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The star is going to finish up the year by embarking on a world tour in support of the album. The show kicks off in August before coming to a close in December. When asked if she could reveal any other information about the tour, she remained silent in order to leave people guessing.
