Life – See the Light

Tied to a chair in a dark and foggy room, the lead singer of Life struggles to get free in this video entitled “See the Light.” As he sings and tries to free himself, a tall, dark figure enters the room and strikes him in the face, knocking him to the ground. However, he does not let the abuse stop him from singing or struggling for freedom. With his nose dripping of blood, he is put back into a sitting position and further abused by a group of men and women. As he is tortured, one of the abusers snap a picture of him while another beats him with a microphone, which may be a reference to the way the media and paparazzi take advantage of people’s success and watch their every move as if they were a prisoner, which also hinted to in the lyrics of the video.
