We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Lenny Kravitz, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: Angelina Jolie Was Almost in One of His Music Videos. Jolie auditioned to be in Kravitz’s video for “Stand by My Woman.” However, the director of the video decided she wasn’t the right fit.

Number Seven: He Is a Beatles Fan. Kravitz is a self-admitted fan of The Beatles, and he even owns their Redd 37 recording console straight from Abbey Road Studios! Kravitz also owns Paul McCartney‘s handwritten lyrics for “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

Number Six: He Went to High School With Slash. It’s true! There must have been something in the water, because those are two seriously talented musicians.

Number Five: One of His Album Covers Was a Happy Accident. Kravitz’s cover for his album titled 5 was actually an accident. The album’s photographer, Mark Seliger, accidentally pushed the shutter when the car hit a bump, but it turned out to be a great accident after all.

Number Four: He Learned How to Play Piano From One of the Greats. When Kravitz was just five years old, he learned how to play piano from none other than jazz legend Duke Ellington.

Number Three: He Can Gut a Fish. Before he hit it big, Kravitz worked in a fish market in high school to make ends meet. He had to learn how to cut, gut, and fry fish while at the fish market.

Number Two: He Was Homeless. Well, sort of. Kravitz has admitted that he used to live out of his car – a Ford Pinto, to be exact.

Number One: He Owns a Speakeasy. If you’re ever in Paris, keep your eyes peeled for Kravitz’s home. He reportedly has a speakeasy in the basement of his home in Paris. We hope you enjoyed our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Lenny Kravitz!
