Jack U is a duo comprised of Diplo and Skrillex. While fans are still awaiting the arrival of Jack U’s album, the super-duo released their first single, “Take U There,” featuring Kiesza. The song quickly became a big hit on UK radio, and so they decided to drop a remix version of the song featuring Missy Elliott. Elliott just announced she is back in the recording studio working with longtime collaborator and friend, Timbaland. Elliott and Timbaland have worked together on a lot of projects including Aaliyah’s One in a Million, which sold over ten million copies. The duo produced several tracks on the album including “If Your Girl Only Knew,” “4 Page Letter,” “Hot Like Fire,” and “One in a Million.” They have also worked with Ginuwine, Total, 702, and SWV.

It seems Elliott is taking full advantage of her Super Bowl halftime show appearance with Katy Perry, which has contributed to the rapper’s music sales’ increase. The rapper’s songs “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It,” and “Lose Control,” have all charted at Number 20 on Digital Songs chart as well. “Work It” is Number 9, “Get Ur Freak On” is Number 14, and “Lose Control” featuring Ciara is Number 18 on the chart. The records have collectively sold over 272,000 downloads, and “Work It” has sold 83,000 of those copies. The rapper’s albums have also gained a 265 percent increase on the Billboard 200 chart including, Under Construction (Number 38), Miss E…So Addictive (Number 40), and The Cookbook (Number 66).

Missy Elliott is one of the most successful female rappers in the music industry. The rapper has sold over thirty million albums, and she has won five Grammy Awards. To date, her best selling album Under Construction, has sold over two million copies. The album features the hits “Work It,” “Gossip Folks,” “Back in the Day,” and “Pussycat.” Besides her production work with Timbaland, Elliott has worked on projects for Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Jazmine Sullivan, and Mariah Carey. Elliott won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for her production work on the song “Lady Marmalade.” The record featured Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, Pink, and Mya.
