How to Lighten Dark Knees and Elbows

Sodium bicarbonate

This natural product is cheap and easy to find. It is an excellent natural exfoliant that helps to eliminate dead skin cells and any impurities that may darken.

How to use it?

  • To enjoy the benefits of sodium bicarbonate, simply mix it with a little bit of water.
  • We must then apply the paste on our elbows and knees with a gentle massage and leave it on for 5 minutes. After the recommended time, we have to once again rub and rinse with warm water.
  • In these areas you can put some pressure because they are strong enough to not easily irritated.
  • Once the treatment is finished, it is important to moisturize the concerned areas to prevent dry skin.
  • You have to repeat the treatment 2 or 3 times a week.

OATS

Oats are natural exfoliant that helps to soften and remove impurities from the skin. This ingredient helps eliminate dark spots on knees and elbows, giving them a clean, healthy and uniform look.

How to use it?

  • Mix two tablespoons of flour oat powder with two teaspoons of fresh milk or cream.
  • Apply the mixture on your elbows and knees with circular movements and let it be there for a few minutes.
  • Rub the mixture for another 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
  • Once the treatment is finished, apply moisturizer.

Vaseline

Although the Vaseline is not exactly a natural exfoliant, it can be taken into account as a moisturizer and whitening product for your skin.

How to use it?

  • Prepare a paste of chickpea flour & water. Apply it on the skin of the elbows and knees.
  • When the paste is dried, scratch it out with cold water, dry the skin well and apply a generous amount of Vaseline.
  • Now wrap your knees and elbows with a bandage and put it on overnight.

If you follow these tips religiously, in few weeks you will get the desired result.
