Drake’s “Hotline Bling” has been one of the most explosive hits to hit the internet this year. Many people might be wondering about some of the song’s stats – and we can’t blame them. Below, we present an official breakdown of “Hotline Bling” by the numbers. You might not believe some of these shocking statistics about “Hotline Bling.”

The peak position of “Hotline Bling” on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart was number one. Off to a good start, the song appears to deserve all the press it’s gotten. The song clearly has something good going for it. The peak position of “Hotline Bling” on Billboard’s Hot 100, however, was just number two. There is a lot of speculation regarding why “Hotline Bling” didn’t reach number one on the Hot 100, but there’s still time for the popular song to get there. Currently, “Hotline Bling” stands at number four on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Drake has an astounding 13 songs that have hit number one on this chart.

After spending just 102 days on U.S. charts, “Hotline Bling” has charted in an impressive nine countries. Even more impressive, however, is Drake’s sixth place spot on the list of artists with most songs to hit number one on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In first place is Aretha Franklin. As of November 2015, “Hotline Bling” has sold over 1,111,000 copies. Approximately 41,000 digital copies of the song were sold in the first week.

Perhaps the most interesting statistical aspect of “Hotline Bling” are the parodies. There are so many parodies of “Hotline Bling” that counting them would be impossible. The popular “Hotline Bling cat” parody has 85,262 views on YouTube, and the video of Helmut the Pug dancing to “Hotline Bling” has an impressive 134,971 views on Facebook. However, these videos are massively trumped by the views the official music video has – a whopping 69,022,334 million as of November 12, 2015. According to Google Trends, “Hotline Bling” is three times as popular as the phrases “ISIS” and “Global Warming” right now.
