Fleetwood Mac have rescheduled the Australia dates that were canceled back in 2013. The Australia dates were canceled because band member John McVie was diagnosed with cancer, who has since received treatment and rejoined the band. The original members of the band, consisting of Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie, will travel to Australia for their On With The Show World Tour.
The ten-date tour launches on October 22nd in Sydney, and they will also travel to Perth, Melbourne, Dunedin, and more. Fleetwood Mac will conclude their Australia run on November 22nd in Auckland. This will mark the first time the band will travel to Australia since their 2009 Unleashed Tour.
Fleetwood is currently on the North America leg of their tour, and the upcoming dates include shows in Miami (March 21), Orlando (March 23), Atlanta (March 25), St. Louis (March 27), Kansas City (March 28), and several other cities. The North America run will wrap on April 19th in Little Rock, Arkansas. The band will embark on their European run, which begins in London, on May 27th at the O2 Arena. That portion of the world tour wraps on July 11th in Dublin, Ireland.
On With The Show World Tour marks the return of Christine McVie (keyboardist and singer-songwriter), who left the band in 1998. Last night at the band’s sold out show in Nashville, frontwoman Stevie Nicks officially welcomed Christine McVie back to Fleetwood Mac. “In the beginning, what I would say would be, ‘Welcome Nashville, and welcome back Chris. But now at show number sixty-six, I think we can positively say she’s back,” Nicks said to the roaring crowd.
Fleetwood Mac has released seventeen studio albums, some of which include Mr. Wonderful, Future Games, Heroes Are Hard to Find, Tango in the Night, Behind the Mask, and Say You Will. The legendary band has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, and their album Rumours has sold over 40 million copies alone. The project features four Top 10 singles “Go Your Own Way,” “Dreams,” “Don’t Stop,” and “You Make Loving Fun.” “Dreams” remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 31 weeks, and it was also certified platinum.
