Fifth Harmony‘s album Reflection is expected to debut on the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Reflection is projected to sell around 75,000 copies in its debut week; the group’s second single “Sledgehammer,” which was written by Meghan Trainor, reached the Number 21 position on the US Mainstream Top 40. The single also peaked at Number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 – it is Fifth Harmony’s first Top 40 hit single. Mariah Carey, Austin Mahone, Meghan Trainor, and Liam Payne of One Direction are some of the celebrities who have praised the group’s album on social media. Fifth Harmony has a song on their new album entitled “Like Mariah,” which features rapper Tyga, and it has received a lot of recognition.  “#Nowplaying #LikeMariah by @FifthHarmony love it!! I appreciate and enjoy ya! Congratulations on your album!!,” Carey tweeted. Most of the group members responded to Carey’s tweet, and they mentioned how honored they were that the pop star acknowledged their song. “@MariahCarey it’s such an honor to be recognized by my idol. Thank you so much for inspiring me through music #LoveYouMiMi #LikeMariah,” Fifth Harmony’s Normandi Kordei replied.

Fifth Harmony consists of five members, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane Hansen, Normandi Kordei, and Ally Brooke Hernandez. They are signed to Simon Cowell‘s Syco Music and Epic Records. Cowell discovered the girl group on the music competition show, X Factor. In 2013, they released their first EP entitled Better Together. The album reached Number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Number 2 on the Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts. The project’s single “Miss Movin’ On” charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at Number 76, respectively. The Monsters and the Strangerz were amongst the group of producers for the Better Together EP. The Grammy-winning production team have produced and written songs for P. Diddy, Rihanna, Kanye West, Maroon 5, Big Sean, Selena Gomez, Wiz Khalifa, and several other recording artists.

The girl group was the opening act for Austin Mahone’s tour last year, and this year, Fifth Harmony is headlining their own tour. Fifth Harmony will embark on The Reflection Tour on February 27th in San Francisco, California. The 22-date tour will conclude on March 27th in Glenside, Pennsylvania at the Keswick Theater. The group will perform a free show (with theme park admission) on March 8th at Busch Gardens in Tampa (Florida). Jacob Whitesides, Jasmine V, and Mahogany Lox will all serve as opening acts for the tour. Fans who are hoping to purchase tickets to the shows, can buy them on Fifth Harmony’s website.
