Evanescence and electric violinist Lindsey Stirling are teaming up for an outdoor amphitheater tour of North America, where they will be accompanied by a full orchestra. The Grammy Award-winning Evanescence and the Billboard Award-winning Stirling will make 31 stops this summer. Both artists will offer limited VIP packages for most dates, including premium seating, sound check passes and a champagne toast.
The tour is designed to highlight both acts’ musical chops, giving everyone a chance to flex their collaborative muscles. Full orchestras will accent the music, which will be played in outdoor venues across the USA and Canada. Evanescence and Stirling collaborated on the song “Hi-Lo”, which was a track on Evanescence’s new album, Synthesis, which featured a Stirling violin solo. Evanescence has been experimenting with a live orchestra and electronica on their last tour for Synthesis, which was augmented by live performers.
Stirling is a jill-of-all-trades who is known as a composer, violinist, dancer and electronic music impresario. Stirling takes on a wide variety of pop and rock styles, and also mixes in classical and traditional standards. Stirling also released an album in 2017, Warmer in the Winter.
The summer tour begins on July 6 in Kansas City at the Starlight Theater, and continues through the Midwest (Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati), South (Atlanta), and the Great White North (Toronto). The tour ends in Ridgefield, Washington, at the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater on September 8. Tickets for most shows are now on sale through Live Nation.
