Fans of the K-Pop girl group, Ladies’ Code, are distraught this morning upon hearing the news of a tragic car accident resulting in the death of twenty-two year old member EunB.
The K-Pop community is in mourning. The group were apparently in a van in their entourage on their way to Seoul this morning (September 3rd, local Seoul time) when the van’s back wheel fell off. Several of the members of Ladies’ Code were taken to the hospital in critical condition, including Rise and SoJung. Ashley, Zuny and several stylists and band managers were not seriously injured. The band’s label, Polaris Entertainment, said in a statement to Yahoo! Philippines, “After a schedule in Daegu on September 2, LADIES′ CODE was headed back to Seoul. Around 1:30 AM in Suwon, an issue occurred with the car′s back wheel coming off,” the agency stated. “With the rainy road and wheel coming off, the vehicle spun several times, hitting a guardrail.”
Polaris Entertainment continued, saying, “”Due to this, Eun Bi unfortunately passed away. The other members, Rise is in critical condition while SoJung is injured and hospitalized, currently receiving treatment. The other members, manager, and stylists, who were in the car, did not receive serious injuries.” Rise was released from surgery after being hospitalized for nine hours, along with her fellow group member SoJung. The Fact reports that Rise is under close surveillance for any variation in her condition, while her family travels from Japan to Korea. Polaris added, “Our staff is also unable to recover from the shock and are in great sorrow right now. We want to apologize to all the fans and everyone who have received much shock, and we ask for everyone to pray for the quick recovery of the members.”
