Oliver Sacks on His Personal Experience With Hallucinogens

In light of the recent death of prolific genius and scientific legend Dr. Oliver Sacks, we decided to share a video to remind you why you loved him, or, if you’re not familiar with his work, why you should love him. Sacks devoted his entire life to science, but not in an isolated environment like many dedicated researchers. Instead, he made a point of sharing his knowledge with the world, writing such renowned works as The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Hallucinations. In the video below, Sacks shares his own personal experience with hallucinogens, including both pleasurable and painful memories surrounding them. No, this video won’t move you to tears, but it will make you sad to know we’ve lost yet another creative genius.
