Dierks Bentley performed at the Country Radio Seminar as the 1990s cover band, the Hot Country Knights. While most people had no idea who the band was, they were shocked when Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, Kip Moore, and Charles Kelley (Lady Antebellum) took the stage. The performance was a part of the fictional wig-wearing talent show hosted by the radio seminar in Nashville, Tennessee. Two of the band members of the Hot Country Knights, Bentley and Lambert, are up for several nominations at The Academy of Country Music Awards.
Miranda Lambert leads all nominees with eight ACM nominations. Some of the categories she is nominated for include Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Platinum), Single Record of the Year (“Automatic”), Video of the Year (“Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood), and Vocal Event of the Year (“Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood). Bentley earned seven ACM nominations including Album of The Year (Riser), Male Vocalist of the Year, Single Record of the Year (“Drunk On A Plane”), and Video of the Year (“Drunk On A Plane”). The Academy of Country Music Awards will be hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, it will air on CBS on April 19th.
