Chris Brown is officially off of probation, and the R&B singer couldn’t be any happier. “IM OFF PROBATION!!!!!!! Thank the Lord,” Brown tweeted on social media. After six years and 1000 community service hours, the singer has completed his service time for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. Brown was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, after physically assaulting Rihanna, who was his girlfriend at the time.

The R&B singer pled guilty to the charges, and he avoided jail time by accepting a plea deal of completing community service hours. Back in January, Brown’s probation was revoked after he failed to get permission to travel to San Jose (CA) for a nightclub performance. During his scheduled March 20th court appearance, the judge ruled that the singer had completed all of his community service hours and was officially done with probation.

Brown’s probation had a huge affect on his Between The Sheets Tour. First, the singer had to postpone the tour because the judge wouldn’t sign-off on the release form, which would have allowed him to leave the state of California. Brown would later reveal that postponing the tour cost two to three million dollars in production costs. During the Between The Sheets tour run in Toronto,  two shows were canceled because Brown was denied access into Canada. Although both Toronto shows were sold out, Live Nation (tour promoters) had to refund all of the tickets. Although several dates were canceled on the tour, Between The Sheets wrapped on March 19th in Hampton, Virginia. Now that Brown is free from the judicial system, hopefully his next tour will go on without interruption.

Chris Brown and Tyga’s collaborative effort, Fan of a Fan: The Album, was dropped on February 20th. The project entered the Billboard 200 at Number 7, and it reached Number 1 on the UK R&B Albums chart. Two singles have been released from album including “Ayo,” which peaked at the top of the singles chart on the UK R&B chart, and it also reached Number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second song “B*tches N Marijuana” featuring Schoolboy Q was dropped last month. The record is currently Number 33 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

FDRMX Eyes: From Switzerland comes Michael Resin, a French electronic musician. Resin has released a track called “Point of No Return” this week as well as a music video.
