We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Bryan Adams, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: He Almost Renamed His Second Album. Due to the fact that a lot of critics were indifferent toward him because they didn’t know who he was, Adams nearly named his second album Bryan Adams Hasn’t Heard of You Either. However, label executives finally convinced him to call it You Want It You Got It.

Number Seven: He Supports the Veterans. Adams released a book of photography titled Wounded: The Legacy of War. In the book, Adams features portraits of young British soldiers who were injured in Iraq and Afghanistan or while training for war.

Number Six: He May Have Dated Princess Diana. Adams was rumored to have dated Princess Diana in 1996 when she had separated from Prince Charles. His 1985 song, “Diana,” may have been written about her before they actually got together.

Number Five: He Has Been Nominated for 58 Juno Awards. And he has won 18 of them! In 2000, he won Best Male Artist, and in 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1997, he won Male Vocalist of the Year.

Number Four: He Has Only Had One Number One Hit That Was Not Written for a Movie. And that hit was “Heaven,” which was featured on his 1985 album, Reckless.

Number Three: He Lives in the U.K. Adams might be a proud Canadian, but he actually lives in the U.K. He lives there with his long-term girlfriend, Alicia Grimaldi, and their two daughters. They also have a home in Paris, France.

Number Two: His Favorite Collaboration Was With Tina Turner. Adams has admitted that his favorite ever collaboration was with Tina Turner on “It’s Only Love.” He said, “Working with Tina Turner was amazing..It was such a privilege to have sung with her, especially since I was only 24 at the time.”

Number One: He Is a Vegan. And he was a vegan way before it was cool. Adams has been a vegan since 1989, and he is also an animal rights activist.
