Bella Loka – Alive

Bella Loka is back with a new music video called “Alive“, from their Escape EP. The indie pop electronic duo from Bristol in the UK manages to be quirky, dark and vibrant all at once in their cool new video. Songwriter Tea Boothby takes the lead on vocals, piano and guitar in this innovative, alluring, synth-dominated track, while David Boothby holds down on the guitar and laptop production. Overall their music has a kinetic, effervescent energy that never fails to entertain. I love the huskiness of Boothby’s voice and the twisted humor in her melodies. This video adds a visual element to the mix. It is both satirical and sparkling, a colorful fusion of 1980’s glam and 21st-century space vibrations. This husband/wife duo is clearly talented. Currently based in London, they can also be spotted on tour this summer at several UK festivals and in many of the UK’s finest night clubs. I look forward to listening to what this creative pair will come up with next.
