Azealia Banks will follow in Iggy Azalea‘s footsteps, and take a break from Twitter. Although the two rappers have feuded in the past, it looks like they have found something to agree on. “I missed the beginning of Lent but better late than never. I’m going off tweets until April 2nd!! My management will tweet AB news,” Banks tweeted. The rapper also said she is going on a Twitter hiatus, in order to give her mind a break. Banks won’t be taking a complete break from social media, because she will remain active on Instagram. A large portion of Banks’  time on Twitter is spent feuding with other entertainers, and she recently tried to bait Erykah Badu into one of her online tirades.

Last month, a fan asked Badu, on social media, if she listens to Banks’ music. The R&B singer responded that she tried to listen to it, and that comment didn’t sit well with the rapper. Banks believed Badu was being disrespectful, and so the rapper sent out several tweets criticizing the R&B singer. One of the rapper’s tweets claimed that Badu was old and jealous because Banks is young and successful. “When artists grow old and begin to recognize their own mortality they throw shade at younger spirits. We see it happen all the time,” Banks wrote. Badu finally decided to respond to Banks’ “too old” tweet. “Well shit I did try. Maybe you’re right..I’m just to [sic] old to get it. You cool tho,” Badu asked the rapper.

Banks must have realized that Badu was not going to go back and forth with her, and so Banks said she was cool, and she moved on. If only Iggy Azalea, T.I., Action Bronson, and Kid Cudi possessed the restraint Badu had, maybe they wouldn’t be on the list of people who have feuded with Banks on Twitter. Besides online controversy, the rapper also announced a few dates for her upcoming tour. She will perform at the Coachella Festival on April 10th, 16th, and 17th. Banks will also perform at the Irving Plaza in New York on May 11th, and the Concord Music Hall in Chicago on May 15th. On May 19th, the rapper will travel to Boston for a show at Paradise Club.
