Pop singer Iggy Azalea and rapper Azealia Banks have now continued their feud in a full-out Twitter explosion. After Banks made a remark about Iggy’s music in an interview yesterday, the two stars began firing off tweets about everything from music to race to nipples.

In the emotional interview, which aired on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning and lasted 45 minutes, Banks discussed the appropriation of black culture by white musicians. “I feel like, in this country, whenever it comes to our things – like black issues or black politics or black music or whatever – there’s always this undercurrent of kinda like a ‘f*** you,'” she said. “There’s always a ‘f*** y’all n****s. Y’all don’t really own shit. Y’all don’t have shit.'”

Then it got personal, when Banks added, “That Macklemore album wasn’t better than the Drake record. That Iggy Azalea shit isn’t better than any f***ing black girl that’s rapping today.”

The battle had begun. Banks continued her rant on Twitter, and Iggy tweeted the following response shortly afterwards: “Special msg for banks: There are many black artists succeeding in all genres. The reason you haven’t is because of your piss poor attitude.”

Banks warned her to stay out of it and admonished her for making it about her. She also said that the thoughts expressed in her interview were way beyond Iggy’s mental capacity, and that she couldn’t possibly understand her perspective until she had black children of her own in America. She peppered her tweets with a wide variety of nicknames, including “Clueless White Girl,” “Itchy Areola,” and “Iffy Azuzu.”

Iggy hit back with an equally-lengthy string of tweets, calling Banks “poisonous,”  a “bigot,” and a “miserable, angry human being.” She wrote, “Now! rant, Make it racial! make it political! Make it whatever but I guarantee it won’t make you likable & THATS why ur crying on the radio. [sic].” She also told Banks to savor the attention, saying that she is the only reason she is getting any attention at all. You can check out Iggy’s side of the argument here and Banks’ side here.
