We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Avril Lavigne, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: She Is a Fan of Chick Flicks. When asked what genre of movies Lavigne likes most, she said that she “LOVES” romance and comedy films – especially chick flicks.

Number Seven: She Cares About Her Health. Lavigne has a super healthy morning routine. She says that the first things she does when she wakes up in the morning are look at what time it is, drink juice, drink hot lemon water, and then take a sea salt bath.

Number Six: She Is Compassionate. When asked what every person could do to make the world a better place, Lavigne said that the most important things are to be positive, care about others, and to show compassion.

Number Five: She Is Into Acting. Lavigne revealed that she would like to act in a movie at some point. However, she is not very discerning about the genre, and she says that she would be happy to act in a horror film, among other genres.

Number Four: She Learned Guitar From Lenny Kravitz. Well, sort of. Lavigne learned how to play guitar by playing along to Kravitz’s song titled “Fly Away.” She grew up singing country songs at county fairs and gospel songs at church.

Number Three: She Stays True to Herself. Lavigne never covers other artists when she performs, and she always wears her own clothes. She refuses to conform to someone else’s idea of what they think she should be.

Number Two: She Moved to France on a Whim. After Lavigne and ex-husband Deryck Whibley got divorced, Lavigne moved to France because she promised herself she would learn French. Her dad is from France, but she had never learned, so she took that time to be single and independent in a new environment.

Number One: She Suffered From Lyme Disease. Lavigne was out of the game and bedridden for five months in the second half of 2014 thanks to Lyme Disease she incurred from a tick bite. She said that she thought she was dying, but she bounced back and thankfully recovered.
