We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Anne Hathaway, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the polarizing actress that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: Anne Hathaway Is Lactose Intolerant

It’s true! Don’t offer her a cheese wedge at a party because you might just regret it.

Number Seven: She Was Sued for Financial Reasons

In 2005, Hathaway was staying at a house in the Bahamas. She was sued for allegedly not paying rent; however, she insisted that she was invited there as a guest and not asked to pay rent.

Number Six: She Had to Beg for One of Her Most Iconic Roles

Rachel McAdams was originally offered the role of Andie Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada. After she turned it down, Hathaway begged producers for the part and finally got it.

Number Five: She Thanks the Universe Every Year on August 3

It might sound strange, but there’s a reason she does it. Hathaway was offered her breakout role in The Princess Diaries on August 3, so every year she honors the day by thanking the universe for her luck.

Number Four: Her Television Debut Was a Little Dirty

No, not like that! Hathaway had her television debut in a commercial for Better Homes and Garden Real Estate. She filmed the commercial in 1997.

Number Three: The FBI Stole Her Diaries

Well, sort of. Hathaway dated Raffaello Follieri and wrote about their relationship in her diaries. The FBI had charged him with money laundering and wire fraud, and so they had to take her diaries to look for information.

Number Two: She’s Allergic to Cats

Ironically, she went on to play Catwoman. Meow!

Number One: She Hates Talking on the Phone

Like many people 20 and 30-somethings of her ilk, Hathaway detests physically talking on the phone. She has even described calling the pizza guy to place an order as a “terrifying” experience. We hope you enjoyed our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Anne Hathaway!
