A$AP Rocky decided to join the club of artists who dropped their album as a surprise release. The album entitled At.Long.Last.ASAP was scheduled to drop on June 2nd, but the rapper released his new project at midnight. “Official album release in stores and online @ midnight tonight, thanx [sic] for listening, hope yalh [sic] enjoyed. Bless…A$VP x Life x RIP Yams,” Rocky wrote on Twitter. The 18-track project features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Miguel, Schoolboy Q, M.I.A., Rod Stewart, Mos Def, Juicy J, UGK, Future, and more. Before the album was released, Rocky stated that FKA Twigs and Lykke Li would be featured on At.Long.Last.ASAP, but neither artist appears on the current project. To date, three singles have been released from the album including “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2,” “M’$,” and the latest single “Everyday” featuring Miguel, Rod Stewart, and Mark Ronson.

The album cover for At.Long.Last.ASAP shows an image of Rocky’s face with a multi-colored splotch on his right cheek, which is reminiscent of the birthmark on the late A$AP Yams’ face. There is also another face beneath Rocky, and some people believe it is an image of Yams. The cover art also shows Rocky with a tattoo of a cross on his face, which resembles the cross on Yams’ face. The A$AP Mob founder died earlier this year, and the At.Long.Last.ASAP cover art is a tribute to the late Yams.

At.Long.Last.ASAP is Rocky‘s third studio album. His other projects include Live.Love.ASAP and Long.Live.ASAP. The rapper’s first studio album, Long. Live. A$AP, was a huge mainstream success. It reached the Number 1 spot on the Billboard 200, Canadian Albums, and UK Albums Chart. The project features guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Florence Welsh (Florence + the Machine), Drake, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, and Big K.R.I.T. “Goldie,” “F**kin’ Problems” featuring Drake, 2 Chainz, and Kendrick Lamar, “Wild for the Night” featuring Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam, and “Fashion Killa” were all dropped as singles. The biggest single from Long.Live.ASAP was “F**kin’ Problems,” which peaked at Number 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, and Rhythmic chart. The double-platinum selling single also impacted the Billboard Hot 100 at Number 8.
